And these days don’t feel real Welcoming spring as we all go through this ordeal It’s far from the ideal, this we all know So we stay home Stay home, stay home And the time is good Finding unlikelihoods The sunlight’s taken on a new meaning It’s a different kind of warmth And the peace that passes all understanding goes beyond all that’s unsure It’s more than I could ask for But these days don’t feel real Welcoming spring as we all go through this ordeal It’s far from the ideal, this we all know So we stay home Stay home, stay home And the time is good Finding unlikelihoods And despite the pain It’s still safe to say I don’t want to say it at times But What a beautiful day it is

Over the sea The Spirit is hovering Oh, and I can’t see But it surrounds and is with me A witness to beauty It unfolds and is with me It’s plain to see, don’t complain to see And it knows what you need, you need no worry It asks “What is your dream?” Tell me your dream And I ask “What is your dream?” Tell me your dream The morning light beckons the song at sight I rise to a new reprise This is the time to fly Make use of the day Be joyful and glad today You don’t know the day and you don’t know the hour So keep watch while you may Even through the cloud cover Do the right thing Fear no evil And I will be with you Forever

Look at us, we’re like dying stars Look at us, we’ve both come so far Outshining the entire galaxy But if you look up close, we are collapsing Do you see this glow, this bright light shine? This beautiful heart that’s gone through trials, and trials That’s longed for hope for far too long That’s in need of a song to sing along to An alternate reality One I’m too happy to join The time is now my currency Here’s my chance to flip a coin I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out of my comfort zone Could I see myself there? Could I be myself there? I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out, could I find a home? I could see myself there, I could be myself there Look at us, here we are again Light years gone, just around the bend If you asked me, I know I can’t regret Now you’re asking me what’s around the bend An alternate reality One I’m too happy to join The time is now my currency Here’s my chance to flip a coin I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out of my comfort zone Could I see myself there? Could I be myself there? I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out, could I find a home? I could see myself there, I could be myself there I know I was made for this I know I’ve been saved for this It’s as if my soul’s been kissed I know I belong with stars I know I have strayed too far But I know now just who we are I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out of my comfort zone I could see myself there, I could be myself there I’ve always wondered if I ever ventured out, could I find a home? I could see myself there, I could be myself there But I’m not wondering anymore what could have been I’m happy to be where I am and where I’ve been

Somewhere else I’ve always felt Home has always been somewhere Somewhere else I’ve always felt Could it just be in my mind? In imagination? Oh, I’m longing all the time Is this what I was made for? Suddenly this home I want to return again All I really know is I can’t do this much longer On my own On my own Somewhere else I’ve always felt Home has always been somewhere Somewhere else I’ve always felt Somewhere else I’ve always felt Home has always been somewhere Somewhere else I’ve always felt And yet I’m still proud I’m hungry I’m determined to get there But for now I’m a wild dream Like a wildflower, planted You have me where You want me to be After April showers I may bloom wherever I be But eventually Somewhere else I’ve always felt Home has always been somewhere Somewhere else I’ve always felt Take me, take me Some, somewhere Somewhere, somewhere, home has been somewhere Take me, take me Some, somewhere Somewhere, somewhere, home has been somewhere else.. I’ve always felt

As far as the east is from the west As long as the heavens above the rest As long as the skies are blue As constant as morning dew As far as the east is from the west So is My love for you And so is My love for you, too As long as the skies are blue So is My love for you It’s in the quiet of the night Are the disappointed lies I failed You again But Your light breaks in It’s in the quiet of “goodnight” So is My love for you And so is My love for you, too As long as the skies are blue So is My love for you And you, and you If I’m dreaming, don’t wake me up I will rest in the sent from above If I’m dreaming, if I’m dreaming If I’m dreaming, don’t wake me up I will rest in the sent from above If I’m dreaming, if I’m dreaming

Ooh………….... Ooh……………. Ahh……………. Oh, I have seen the Light And I have tried to fight it But You are my delight And oh, I can’t deny it Hmm

about

This Live EP is made up of songs that are so (almost too) close to my heart. They are a mix of conversations with myself and with God, musings written during the pandemic, and even a little melody that came to me while bopping on the sidewalk one day. The project was recorded live-off-the-floor in an empty music venue at the height of Toronto's 2nd wave in December 2020, and it goes along with a 25-minute long concert film where I'm performing the songs, surrounded by a sea of glowing lanterns.

I struggled (and continue to struggle) with a lot of fear, doubt, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome in creating this and even now in sharing it, but I'm so grateful for what this EP represents: an honest sharing of my heart + soul, a baby step of faith that was prepared long ago for me to take, and a precious milestone I'm excited to look back on and thank God for as I go forth and continue to create.

In sharing these songs in their most raw form, I hope that whoever listens to and experiences this project can be drawn closer to the Great Light that "Witness, Testimony" refers to in its final lines: "I have seen the Light / and I have tried to fight it / But You are my delight / and oh, I can't deny it".

So much love to you! Thank you for being here and listening đź’–
